New Venue!

I’m rather excited as I have managed to find a new venue for the card making class.  I’ve loved being at peppers – and I’ve especially loved their hot chocolate!  But we really need more space for people to spread out.  So starting on the 9th September we’re going to be at Wilton Community Centre, in Room 2.  It’s a fab room as it has lots of natural light and lots of space.  As well as facilities for making drinks.  :)

If you’re interested in coming along, please let me know.  I’ll need a few days notice to make sure I have enough packs made up for everyone!

Free Ribbon!

The Stampin’ Up! special offer for August is a rather wonderful one.  If you spend at least £45, you get two reels of beautiful ribbon.  And what’s even better is that they are ribbons you can’t buy in the catalogue.

Post-it note holder

At the last class we had fun making cards and gifts for men and boys.  One of the items we made was a post-it note holder.

I was given one of these by a friend a few years and found it so useful.  I always used to lose my post-its, but when I had them safely in a pretty little holder I was happier to have it out on show and never had a problem finding it!

Father’s Day

My Dad really loves trains, so what better stamp set to use than Choo Choo!

I kept to neutral colours for this, so it didn’t end up looking like a child’s card.  I think it’s made it look a bit vintage.

Storage Jar Gift

I just love these little storage jars from Ikea, they’re so cute AND useful.

At the class last week, we decorated one so it could be used as a gift.  They can also be filled with all sorts of goodies – sweets, marshmallows, a pair of rolled up socks.
