Giraffe Card

I’m still in love with the Wild About You stamp set.  It’s so perfect for cards for little boys!  And I love the Jumbo Wheels as well.  They’re so easy to use – even my 3 year old can use it – and he loves them!

A bit of Chipboard and More Turquoise …

I used a chipboard circle to make a border for the sentiment on a birthday card today, and I couldn’t help reaching for Tempting Turquoise again!

I coloured the chipboard by pressing an ink pad onto it and it looks really good – much better than leaving it bare.

Don’t forget – all chipboard is 25% off this month!

Card for a Teenage Boy

I’ve always found making cards for teenage boys so hard!  Today I used the star from Fun and Fast Notes, and cut off the ‘congratulations’ sentiment.  I used Stampin’ Pastels to colour it.

I made a couple of other cards using Fun and Fast Notes as well, which I’ll share over the next few days.  It’s such a wonderful set for doing really quick cards.  I managed 3 today in about half hour, and that included getting everything out and tidying up afterwards!star-card

Birthday Card

I had a play with the Best Wishes and More set today.  I love the bold shapes and the fact it has sentiments in there as well makes it great value for money!  I wanted to fit the cute little bird on as well, but just ran out of space.  Oh, well, that gives me a good excuse to make more cards again tonight!  It’s always a good idea to have some made up, just in case …

I used …

  • Whisper White card stock (109899)
  • Flower, leaf, sentiment (on stalk) from Best Wishes and More (111602)
  • Old Olive card stock (109991)
  • Cameo Coral card stock (109989)
  • Ruby Red card stock (109988 )
  • Old Olive Stampin’ Pad™ (110076)
  • Real Red Stampin’ Pad™ (109924)

As all 3 coloured card stocks come from the Earth Elements™ colour family, you could always buy an assorted pack of all the colours from that family – 109894.

I also used some supplies that aren’t Stampin’ Up!  I used a neon pink gel pen and my Sizzix Bang! Zoom! alphabet to cut the name.
